Oculus Rift!

I kept saying things like, "Look at that!"

Our friend Patrick had his housewarming party yesterday and it was made even more awesome than usual (usual being phenomenal food because Patrick takes cooking classes in his spare time and nails it every time he cooks or bakes) because Alex showed up with the Oculus Rift.

We still played Catch Phrase and watched a terrible movie (Thor, anyone?), and explored the old cemetery in Patrick's back yard, but the Oculus was the ultimate party diversion. 

I did the demo where you explore this gorgeous house on the coast. Other people did ones where you fly a plane or ride a roller coaster. I was already a few delicious Sweetwater Pilsners into the evening so I passed on the roller coaster after seeing people need to take a knee and have spotters.
