I actually accomplished some of the things on my list today! I also replaced some with other tasks. I managed to bathe and give medicine to both animals, wash Olive's crate bedding, groom Syd who tends to get mats in his fur, make a hat for Evelyn's baby doll, and even get out of the house for a bit with Evelyn. We hit up Barnes and Noble to play with the trains and to get a baby book for Dos. It's similar to Evelyn's baby book - a leatherbound journal so I can write little Dos messages and add in pictures and mementos as needed. On top of all that, I got in some time reading a good book and I got a nice long nap!
Jonathan has been working ridiculously hard on some coding for work. He's been really excited about it and showing it to me and I've been impressed. And he's spent many many hours on evenings and the weekend working on this code lately, so things were tense today when he finished it and went to post it to the server and... it didn't work! Of course with some thinking and tinkering he figured it out and now everything is ready to present to his office tomorrow. I'm so proud of him and happy to see him really engaged in projects.
That's about all we've been up to today. Expect some truly thrilling posts this week - perhaps even twice a day like today - because as long as I'm banned from work I am finding myself with far too much free time! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow with the most laid-back resident (the one I saw when I went to L&D last week) and a non-stress test. I'm not expecting much news really. Just more waiting. But I know that spontaneous labor is the best labor so I'm holding out for that. I just have to not look at February 21st on the calendar because that is very, very, very far away right now (that's when I would be 42 weeks which is the absolute latest date they would let me go before inducing, barring any complications between now and then).
Tomorrow I'm going to do a little cleaning and baking to get ready for Jonathan's big 29th birthday on Tuesday! Then I'll go to the doctor, and then head to school for some dissertation work and supervision with the other interns. That should keep me off the streets and out of trouble at least.
