Things I haven't been doing this pregnancy: belly photos, cleaning the house, strictly avoiding all caffeine... And that's just to name a few.
I had what I thought was going to be my first "real" doc appointment today (as in, an appointment with a doc), but there was some scheduling mix up and I ended up meeting with a nurse practitioner. I didn't mind since I'm cool with midwives, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, etc. But I was kinda excited to meet "my" doc. Maybe next time.
Not much news to report... They still haven't gotten my medical records from the birth center. Or they have, but they haven't been entered into the system or something. So I still don't know if there was anything worth noting from the 24-hour urine screen or full blood panel I had done through the birth center back in May. The urine screen was to serve as a baseline for any later screen, should I need it, to determine whether my protein levels change or anything since I have a history of preeclampsia. Anyway, they're supposed to call back this afternoon to let me know what the records say and how often they'll need to see me and all that. I didn't even schedule the next appointment or anything yet! We did get the hear little Dos's heartbeat, although (s)he wasn't a fan of the doppler and kept swimming away so we never got a good count. And I've lost 11 lb. so far. Pretty normal for me - it took me until well after the 20 week mark with Evelyn to start gaining any weight, and I didn't pass my pre-pregnancy weight until after 30 weeks. Pregnancy: the next miracle diet.
I'm feeling somewhat better since I've been taking B6 and unisom at night. I'm going to try B6 and benadryl in the daytime too since that's supposed to help, so we'll see... I'm still tossing my cookies at least once, usually twice, a day for now. But so far, I haven't had the miserable heartburn that I had with Evelyn nonstop. So I'll take it.
