Odds and Ends

I keep coming across things I've meant to share here. So I'll make a list. I need lists these days.

1. I'm going to show you that cute little picture and certificate from the day we went to the Duke Infant Cognition Center and Evelyn participated in her first psychology experiment. Made her mama proud!

2. Pictures of Evelyn's artwork. There's quite a bit of finger-painting (oh, sorry, dactilopintura) happening at school lately. Her teachers are mighty brave to paint with the wee ones, I say.

3. There's school drama to keep you interested, as usual. This semester's theme seems to be my overwhelming ambivalence about working like mad to get through written prelims, oral prelims, and proposing my dissertation. That on top of crazy amounts of reading and writing other papers for classes. And working long days in the clinic. Shew. The reward? Possibly nabbing an unpaid internship next year. Or, possibly, not. See why I'm ambivalent?

4. Next weekend I have my sewing class! I haven't touched my new sewing machine yet (seriously) so I have everything to learn. I'm excited and I hope that I don't forget it all between that class and whenever I have time to use it again... 2012?

5. The Compact and The Bartel Challenge continue. Updates needed, I know!

But in the meantime, I'll be working on my CV, dissertating, digging myself out from the mountain of work in the clinic, preparing for a week in San Francisco next month, mothering, wifeing, and so on and so forth.
