Here are a few things I've noticed about being a full-time student, wife, and mom. In no particular order...

1. The Halloween costume will most likely be something easy and store-bought, despite months of thinking and planning much more adorable costumes.
2. The house will never be entirely clean. Never.
3. Baby will sometimes have some "diaper free" play time on a big sheet spread out on the floor because the diapers didn't get washed and line-dried in time for the next change. (And by sometimes, I mean at least once a week.)
4. Mom will not be too caught up with milestones and when/if they occur because there are 10 hojillion other things taking up her cognitive capacity. This will lead to some creative license when the pediatrician asks questions he's probably used to getting an exact time, date, and video proof for.
5. There won't be truckloads of money, but there will always be that twinkle in dad's eye that someday... someday... these 10 years of college will pay off and mom will actually get a paying job.
6. Baby will get plenty of quality time with dad while mom writes her dissertation.
7. Baby will inevitably attend graduate-level courses at a remarkably tender age. Evelyn's first course was a three-hour lecture on psychometrics and she. loved. it.
8. Mom will read journal articles to baby at bedtime. It's multitasking!
