Rollin'

Before I forget, because I can guarantee I'll forget, yesterday Evelyn rolled over. First came tummy to back, and then at some point last night she figured out back to tummy ... because when I went to wake her this morning, there she was on her tummy (bottom in the air, in the ultimate child's pose).

As for the rest of the news around here?

Jonathan works.

Evelyn and I play taxi and I try to stay on top of the clinic work as much as I can. Some days are slightly less unsuccessful than others in that arena.

I pretend that the monkey on my back named Dissertation stays quiet.

The hammock I ordered Jonathan for Father's Day arrived today and it. is. GLORIOUS. After I finished my FAFSA* this evening, an exercise in frustration tolerance, I went and laid on the hammock and stared at the stars and felt slightly less overwhelmed. It was good.

We hung curtains. Full curtain story may make it to the blog sometime but not today. It's a long one.

And that, my friends, is the random brain dump to tide you over. Until next time.

*It's true, I'm bellying up again, after a brief hiatus, for a bit of student loan assistance. Not my favorite thing, but it's what we need to do right now so that I can focus on getting through school and someday... someday... getting a real job. One that pays! I hear they exist.
