This morning E and I were working in the clinic at school, frantically printing some reports and such... She was happily laying in the chair next to me - a chair she's spent a good deal of time in while I'm there working alongside her - when BOOM she's on the floor. She swung her legs up and rolled right off. She did the pause then scream thing and I (after re-starting my heart) scooped her up and gave her a million kisses and nursed her and she probably didn't even cry for 30 seconds total. The side of her noggin was a little bit red for a while but she's been fine. No odd behavior, vomiting, or other signs of brain injury.
I think I've handled Baby's First Fall pretty well, all things considered. I made sure she was okay. I called Jonathan to cry and he was his normal calm, reassuring self. I dropped off the Mouse for some quality time with my friends in Poe Hall while I did some clinic work.... life pretty much went on. Jonathan reminds me that this is the first of what will be many incidents of injury/illness over the years and he's right.
I guess that marks the end of the immobile baby period! She's not officially rolling over yet, but she sure is scooting and throwing her legs around and trying to be more mobile. It's not something we're intent on rushing, which probably means she'll find a way to walk way before we're ready for it!

And I'm glad it wasn't too traumatic for either of you ;)
