- A.A. Milne
We've started to make the move toward a little bedtime routine around these parts. And by started, I mean we started today. So far the routine consists of a nice bath followed by some reading and rocking, nursing, more rocking, swaddling and then sleep. Tonight the eyelids were pretty heavy with the reading. I think she has the same affinity for the Pooh Library that I have.
Our bedtime plan of attack is to alternate nights, so the main parent leading bedtime will change daily. Of course the backup parent is always there to lend a hand with grabbing a towel or a diaper change. And on the nights when there doesn't need to be a bath (most nights, actually), we might try some massage or stretching - just something to help her relax. :)
We'll see how it goes! So far we don't really have routines or schedules at all, since the days are always different. But we'll start here and find our way along. Oh, and that's Evelyn this morning hanging out at the diapering store where the New Moms Group meets. She's very grabby lately and she spent most of the group grabbing the hem of her dress and lifting it for all to see her adorable tummy ;) But of course by the time I got the camera out, it was time to be serious.

I swear - she really is the most beautiful baby girl I've seen in just over 27 years.
I love you.
Thank you for sharing your love and words and pictures.
