Monday:
School practicum. Phone call from Birth Center asking me to come in.
Birth center. Spent the afternoon there (basically)... Non-stress test, bloodwork, waiting, talking, planning. Found out I'm B-strep negative! Good news because I won't need an antibiotic IV during labor and delivery. Blood work will determine whether my (continued) high blood pressure is indeed a warning sign of pre-eclampsia. Of course we're all hoping it's not - no other symptoms of pre-e so far. Non-stress test was fine.
Tuesday:
Work and class.
In the meantime, the Wake County Board of Education will meet to perhaps determine the fate of all sorts of things: the diversity policy, the budget, and the future of Superintendent Del Burns. If they get rid of the diversity policy in favor of "neighborhood schools," my loathing for them will only increase. But I'm trying not to think about it too much right now, to spare my blood pressure.
Wednesday:
K-State takes on KU. Again. For all the beans. This is the night that might just send me into labor.
Thursday:
Ultrasound to check Baby B's fluid levels and the 37-week appointment at the Birth Center.
Class and practicum thrown in for good measure.
Friday:
Work.
PREGNANCY MASSAGE. Just let me survive until Friday. That is all I need to do.
Saturday:
Baby shower!
*******
We're going to have a baby this month! That is just nutty.
