Oh, really?

Okay eager readers... I told you I'd give extra love to those who voted EARLY in the "When Will Baby B Arrive?" poll and alas, here are the results:

March 5-11 (37 weeks): 0 votes
March 12-18 (38 weeks): 3 votes
March 19-25 (39 weeks): 4 votes
March 26-April 1 (40 weeks): 7 votes

Tsk, tsk.

It's almost like you know that the average gestation for first-time moms is 41 weeks and 2 days. Do you guys read the research or something? Sheesh. Well, I'm still hoping for a little St. Pat's leprechaun, myself. And I do have a friend due exactly one month ahead of me who is in labor right now, which gives me hope for a teensy bit early delivery. Of course I'm torn because delivery = baby = still no sleep, some pain, lots of joy, and very little motivation/desire to work on the bazillion things I'll still need to do for school. So maybe Baby B is doing me a favor by baking a little longer.

Tonight we're headed out on the house hunt again. Maybe this week will bring our first offer? I don't know...

But I do know that I'm going to keep putting one foot in front of the other, and working on report after report after report for kids in the clinic and kids in the schools I'm at this semester, and I'll survive the week. That is the goal for now. And then on Friday, I will have the ice cream of my choosing for my 27th birthday.

P.S. Did you see that my favorite person is blogging again?!

Awww... I was the friend in labor. Now I'm just the very uncomfortable pregnant friend who is anxiously waiting on the baby to make up its mind. You might go before me at this rate, girl. :-/ There is no science to this, and so far all the theories I've heard are WRONG! I'm not bitter. ;-)

I wish you well. It sounds like you more than enough things to keep you busy for now without a baby in tow. That baby is better off in your belly right now. I was told for a month that Cole would be early and then they had to induce me 5 days after my EDC due to his size. It sounds like you'll have a much smaller baby though. Good luck, Chelsea. We are anxiously awaiting the news.
