Can you see it? The ultrasound tech switched to 3D for a little bit yesterday to give us a glimpse of Baby B's face. You're looking at the right side of baby's face, and you can see the eye and nose and little pouty mouth. Below the face is a mess of stuff, but if you look carefully you can kinda make out a little hand with fingers. Baby B's left eye is hiding because (s)he had his/her little foot right on his/her forehead the whole time they were doing the ultrasound. All folded in half.
The ultrasound was fine and we were thankful that Baby B did not show us the goods. They measured everything and said that Baby B weighs a little over three pounds and is measuring right at 31 weeks. The fluid levels look good, baby is practicing for breathing, heart rate was in the 150s... all is well. To celebrate, baby decided that I needed to have another sleepless night with a side of heartburn and vomiting. If it weren't for that adorable little face to look at, I might not have made it through the long, long night!
So, nine weeks (or less) to go! We're rooting for 7 weeks, actually, to avoid the whole induction issue altogether. That would be a March 12 birthday... but I'm willing to give him/her a few extra days for a St. Pat's baby ;)
