This one belongs to one Baby B. You might look at it and think, "Hmm, I see a leather-bound journal more than a baby book..." and you'd be correct. But I saw it the other day and decided that it was definitely the one for Baby B. This way, we can write the wee one letters. We can jot down important developmental things that we will probably otherwise forget (for example, my mom swears I was bald and did not talk until I was like 4 or something... really?). We can put the little ink footprints on the first page. We can tape in a lock of hair, pictures, our insurance bill... :)
So far there's only one letter to Baby B in the book, but they'll increase I'm sure. I didn't know if Jonathan would like the idea, but after I brought it home he wanted to read the first letter and he asked if he can write to the baby too. Of course! Of course.

I just got home from my 26-week appointment. Did the glucose challenge again, had my iron checked, met another midwife. All was well. I've gained 1 lb., which is fine. My iron is a teensy bit low and they told me to eat more red meat and leafy greens. The heartrate was around 150. I got my medical records to take with me on the trip just in case I need them. So pretty routine overall...
Tomorrow morning we fly to Detroit, then Kansas City, and then we get to spend nearly two weeks a-visiting! It's going to be so very nice.

THAT is one of the most beautiful journals I've ever seen. Period. To turn something like that into the Baby Journal would be so fine!
I cannot wait to meet Baby B and send letters. My Momo was awesome that way. She's a tough act to follow! See you in about 12 hours. XO
