This one goes out to the one I love.

Would you believe, in my rush to fill you in on all my gastrological adventures, that I forgot to share some good news about Jonathan?

He worked extra hard over the past few weeks to develop a benefits calculator for the firm, as they are changing their health insurance coverage. Jonathan worked his coding magic and went back and forth with people who wanted things one way - then another - then back to the other way - then oh just try this (I'm sure anyone who does coding/web design stuff is familiar with the scenario). In the end, his calculator worked and now everyone at the firm can use it to determine which plan they want (the lesser of two evils?) and how much they'll have to pay (a lot... but this part was not under Jonathan's control).

Of course I knew that he was working hard and putting in lots of extra hours on this project, but it's always good when people at the office notice too! Jonathan got a $100 gas card to Shell and I think he got their standard reward of the "you did a good job" little boost to his paycheck last month too. He also found out that another project he worked on as part of a team won an award for best project of the year or something along those lines at the firm's quality improvement celebration a few weeks back. Isn't he awesome? He'll tell you yes.

So next time you see Jonathan, let him know that you're proud of him for not only maintaining a cheerful disposition despite his wife's constant whining, but for working hard to support his growing little family. He's the best.

P.S. Mom, that picture is just for you. See, I give my friends the skeptical smile too!
