Non-holidays

Things we didn't do for easter:
  • dye eggs
  • eat ham
  • see family
  • hunt for eggs
  • get cool stuff from the bunny
This Easter goes well with our non-traditional Thanksgiving. I'm a bit ambivalent about it all. I like holidays, though Easter was never at the top of my list. But it's kinda nice to just take it easy, sleep in, snuggle on the couch, walk the dog, oh and grade papers all day - and not worry about doing this or that. On the other hand, the preparing and dyeing and hunting and laughing with friends and family are good things. We did have a pre-Easter bash on Friday night with our annual Fondue/Rock Band party. I took approximately zero pictures, but it was a good and tasty time.

Anyhow, we're already trying to figure out what will happen with the coming Fall/Winter holidays. Talk about planning in advance, eh? We'll be driving to Kansas in July, I'm flying there in August, and we're driving again in October for weddings. That leaves little wiggle room in the wallet and the work/school schedules for big Thanksgiving and Christmas trips, so we have to start saving and planning. I think we're going to do everything we can to be in Kansas/Colorado in late December/January, for those of you who might want to know. It will be nice to have some family holiday time.

Until then, it's back to the grind. Livin' large and hoping for a winning lottery ticket. :)
