Gainfully (partially) employed!

I got myself a part-time summer job yesterday and realized one of the major benefits of helping families here on the coast... beach time! I'm hoping to be able to spend two weeks on the beach with some of the coolest and most laid-back people ever. These two weeks in addition, of course, to the one-week Bartel Beach vacation this summer. Yep, that means three weeks at the beach. And the rest by the pool.

The job is part-time, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can fill in some of the gaps by teaching a summer session course. I'm not entirely sure how they decide who gets to teach the summer courses, though, and I might be low on the totem pole. If I don't get that, then I might have to peddle my mad childcare skillz to the unsuspecting public. Or my mad research skillz. Or both! I can research your children and take them to the pool at the same time! Gotta bring home some bacon bits at least this summer, to afford my rock and roll lifestyle.

I think the coffee has gone straight to my brain this morning, so I should channel this into writing something for which I can be graded.

Oh yeah, I also just got totally crushed in my bracket competition. I had Duke and Memphis in the final game... oops!
