Treading Water.

Okay, so it's difficult to see here... and I usually have a handfull of overlapping commitments, but the second week of November is looking like a formula for a stress-induced meltdown.
  • Sunday, November 9: run a marathon
  • Monday, November 10: faculty meeting (I'm the student rep) - present ideas for revamping the school psych website
  • Tuesday, November 11: paper due at 8:30 AM; another paper due at 4:10 (not minor papers; instead, rather long, scary, research-based papers...)
  • Wednesday, November 12: my intro. kids take their third exam - this means I run all over campus getting exams that were taken at the health center, filling out scantron forms, etc.; it also means I spend the next couple of days tied to openoffice calc updating my gradebook and such whilst fielding emails from students who want their grades yesterday and students who had a runny nose and just couldn't be there for the exam
  • Thursday, November 13: another huge report/paper due at 1:30
  • Friday, November 15: grades must be posted for those intro kids, attendance must also be posted; then at 2 I have my wisdom teeth extracted
So, the silver lining? I've been petrified of having my teeth yanked. But after looking at this week, and realizing that surgery will happen at the end of such a ridiculous, sleep-deprived week, I think I'll be ready for anaesthesia and painkillers. I've been telling Jonathan that I'll go from crying about the thought of anaesthesia to begging the surgeon to knock me out ;)
