Not for the faint of heart.

So far, we really really really love our new place. We've been there for a week now, and we're almost finished unpacking all of the boxes and organizing. We've met our neighbors (who happen to be KU fans and have family in Lawrence), enjoyed the pool, and discovered the nearest Chinese takeout place.

There's really only been one problem: our shower wasn't draining. I figured there was probably some hair in the drain - it's one of those twisty-top things that can be tricky to detach and clean. Today Jonathan agreed to check it out.

We suspect that no one has ever thought to clean the shower drain before. Ever. So we had to document the occasion. Go no further if you're grossed out by softball-sized globs of hair and slime.

Dis. Gus. Ting.

Also - we're getting internet of our very own on Wednesday. So expect to see much more of us then!

That's horrific. Are you sure it's the remains of the previous renter's cat?

But does it drain now?

So I said it was softball-sized, but I meant huge grapefruit-sized. Ginormous.

And yeah, it drains beautifully now!

And just think what the poor person who lost all of that hair looks like! Bald as a billiard ball!

Oh that's funny! Disgusting, but funny! It was a bad night to attempt an exfoliating mask - I think I cracked it when I laughed at this picture! Ah, the experiences of a new dwelling. Good luck.
