Happenings.

Despite the fact that I am surrounded by what I assume is a majority of my blog readership, I thought it might be good to post and keep everyone filled in on our latest adventures here in the Tar Heel State.

We've been settling in to our cozy temporary landing spot of the attic of Jonathan's brother and sister-in-law's house. It's really great and we're blessed to get to take some time to get our employment acts together before we settle in semi-permanently in a rental. We're hoping that things line up and we can live in these townhouses that we like, but we'll see where Jonathan ends up working and where it makes sense for us to live.

So we've unpacked, moved a bunch of stuff into our storage unit, and set ourselves up here at the house. Sydney has been managing fabulously, and he's no longer so grumpy about his haircut. I think he probably appreciates it.

Jonathan has two job interviews tomorrow, and we're still within the window where he could hear a yes from the DOT interview he had a couple weeks ago. So we continue to wait, and this week we'll continue to apply. I will be doing nanny/light housekeeping duties on a rather sporadic schedule throughout the Summer, which should keep us in spending cash and give me some stories.

I'll post more later about what we're seeing and doing here in NC!

I'm glad you all arrived safely. How is Sydney getting along with the resident cats? (I love the haircut!)

Good luck with the job search!

I'm so glad you're nesting. That has to rock, given how long you've been either in transit or prepping for transit.
And, speaking on behalf of your blog readers who are NOwhere nearby... Thanks for blogging. I think it's good for you and I know it's way good for me... I love you. XOOXme
