Tonight's plan was to whip up some sirloin steak with roasted potatoes and asparagus, an Everyday Food recipe. And thanks to the wonders of GoogleTalk, we coordinated our dinner plans with those of Justin, Lisa, and Felix. We only had the ingredients to serve 2, and my brother was already heading to the store so he grabbed a few more new potatoes, some leafy greens for salad, and a baguette. The meal was a great success. It was SO simple. I just marinated the steaks (which were pretty small, since we served four with a 1 lb. sirloin) all day, and then prep and cooking took no time at all. It was a very nice evening.

But the real bonus was, of course, seeing Felix. He's such a sweet little guy.

Tomorrow night we're heading to The Legends to have dinner with Jonathan's aunt and uncle, Elaine and Verlin. Hideki is coming over to crash at our place later that night, and we'll all keep our fingers crossed that UNC comes out ahead.
