The Decision.

It was a difficult decision, but in the end all signs seemed to point to North Carolina State University. I'll be working with Dr. Bill Erchul, looking at the interpersonal dynamics of school consultation (i.e. when a school psychologist gives teachers or parents suggestions to help with students' behavior, what are the dynamics of that conversation like? Are the teachers "hearing" it?). NC State will also give me the chance to teach undergrads quite a bit, which I like (I think).

We're looking forward to the move! Of course I've already fallen in love with a place in Durham where I could see myself living, but those details will have to wait until Jonathan lands a job. Keep us in your thoughts!

Yay! Congrats on making a decision!

We're very excited that you two (ahem... ya'll) will be joining the Bartel contingent out here. And to christen your newly declared Southern-ness, I say in your honor, "Bless your heart!"
