Almost...there...

On Thursday morning I'll leave for North Carolina. The very thought of it makes me smile, especially as I look out at the slushy streets and feel the icy cold on my toes. But I've been spending the morning pouring over all of the info. on NC State so that I can be a well-informed applicant when I arrive, and I must say that I'm liking what I read (especially about funding, a major factor in where we'll end up). It's all very exciting and terrifying because... what if they don't accept me? And then, what if they do? Sometimes fast-forwarding to March 17th sounds good, but then I'm trying to be more mindful and present-focused. I have a tendency to live in the future just a bit. Plus I'd miss St. Patrick's Day if I fast-forwarded that much. How sad.

Anyway enough rambling. I probably won't post for a while unless something especially exciting happens. I just have to make it through work, work, work and then it's time to go! Hooray!

I don't know if I'll get to see you while you're out here (I'll be at a conference in DC that weekend -- Josh and Madeline will still be at home, though), so I'm sending you my best wishes across the interweb. Good luck with your interview - I know your amazing-ness will shine through!
