Happy birthday to our favorite father and son!
On Friday, we celebrated Jonathan's 31st birthday. He got an early birthday present on Thursday, when the docs decided to pull the PICC line and stop TPN! Hooray! I don't think we've ever been more grateful for a birthday than we were this year. Here's to a much better spin around the sun, and many more.

Today, we celebrated Gideon's 2nd birthday! He's started to embrace the joys and sorrows of toddlerhood lately, throwing fits and wrestling with his sister and being wild all the time.

Evelyn's started to think that every birthday means some kind of mega-party, so she's been dismayed at the lack of partying around here the past two days. We've kept it pretty low-key with some "happy birthday" song singing and cake.
As for Jonathan, we won't really have much to report until February 12th (which happens to be some pretty awesome peoples' birthday, including myself, Jonathan's cousin Lisa, Abraham Lincoln, and Charles Darwin). That's when he'll go back to Duke for another CT and appointment with the surgeon. We're waiting to find out when they'll say they're ready for the cholycystectomy.
