Well, we finally found some people willing to help us clean up our yard. And by help us, I mean willing to take our money and clean it. They filled the dump truck once, hauled it away, and came back and filled it again before they were finished. There had to be at least a decade of pine needles decaying all over the yard. So now we have a very bald yard, but it's a million times better than what was there. Perhaps we'll even get motivated enough to throw down some grass seed and see what happens!

Left front garden. The day lilies and monkey grass returned as did one hosta! The other hostas are new additions.

Right front garden. Looking a little bare but the stuff in the back survived the winter as did the monkey grass, vinca, and creeping jenny. And of course the rose bushes.

And a picture of MeeMaw and Evelyn, showing me what happens when I ask her to smile for a picture.
