Goodbye Larry

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.
- Robert Fulgham -

Jonathan's cousin Larry passed away this week, just days shy of his 50th birthday, after a year-long fight with cancer. We are sad to miss the celebration of his life with friends and family this weekend, but are thinking of everyone all the time. So grateful to have been able to visit when we could, and to have so many memories of Larry. Godspeed.

Many condolences, you guys. He looks very much like a kind man with genuine ways, and that stands to reason as he is from the Bartel clan. He was much too young to leave now, but I've come to suspect that God must want the really REALLY good ones with him. I am sending my best and biggest good vibes as I know that the loss of people so good and so loved is one of the toughest pills to swallow. I am glad you guys (and Evelyn) got to share him for as long as you did. i am sorry you were unable to make it back for the celebration of his life. xoxomom
