Because, why not?

I woke up at about 2:45 AM, stumbled into the bathroom for one of many overnight visits, and then attempted to go back to sleep. Toss, turn, toss, turn, repeat! And then at 3:00 AM, what did I hear but Evelyn crying and knocking on her door (she can't open doors yet). Retrieve toddler and quietly hope against hope that all three of us will be able to fall asleep in bed again.

False! Toddler is fully awake for the day! She is SINGING AND DANCING and using every word in her vocabulary to get our attention.

By 4:00, I gave up. I guess Sunday, January 29th, 2012 is a special day because Evelyn had to get a jump-start on it! And there was no hope for me falling asleep again.

So here we are. I thought I'd make a list of stuff I can do to keep myself busy, since Baby Dos doesn't seem to want to come out. I have moments during the day when I'll have somewhat regular contractions, but then they go and I'm left wondering if I will be pregnant FOREVER because it feels like it! Anyway, here's my list to keep me busy:

1. Wash the dog
2. Wash the dog's bedding
3. Clean the guest bath
4. Work on the dissertation
5. Work on stuff for work
6. Make Valentine's decorations
7. Make Jonathan's awesome birthday cupcakes
8. Play with Evelyn
9. Give Evelyn a bath
10. Read
11. Make owl hats for 5 (!) little boys
12. Make Baby Dos a couple more hats
13. Make first and only niece some hats
14. Go for a long walk. Or five long walks.
