Evelyn's new favorite activity is dressing herself. She can put on many of her shoes (anything with velcro), and she can get shirts over her head and sometimes figure out the arm holes too. If she remembers that pants go on her legs rather than her arms, she's pretty good at getting those on, too, though she can't quite pull them up to her waist yet. But she really loves to dress herself. And her parents are pretty impressed with her adaptive skills.
She's still sporting just 4 front teeth (2 center top and 2 center bottom) and 4 molars. She says a few words (agua, ball, quack, poo-poo, uh-oh, mama, dada), and she cannot comprehend the idea that there is a baby in mommy's tummy. Her teacher also told Jonathan that she's generally pretty quiet at school, but she's always the first to wake up from nap and immediately upon waking she starts saying all the words she knows and making noise to try to wake up all her friends. With a mother who was a preschool "Best Nap Award" winner and a father who can sleep anytime, anywhere, we are shocked at this behavior. I guess school is just too fun to sleep through!
