Goin' to the Lodge.

Before I start blathering on about our amazing vacation, you should know that I am not being paid to endorse anything. Though, as always, if some Great Wolf someone wants to send me a little thank you in the form of a discount or all-expenses-paid trip back... well... I'm game.

So, we did Labor Day weekend in style this year with a trip to Ikea and then a stay at The Great Wolf Lodge in Concord (just outside Charlotte). Here's what Evelyn thought of the whole thing:

Juuuust kidding, of course. She was more like this most of the time:

She loved it, our little fish. As usual, she started out by walking around in the pool (one of many - we mostly stuck to the smallest kiddie pool) and bending over to put her face in the water. Then she comes up and laughs and laughs. She the started to squat and splash, stick her head in and under any water fountains or pouring water features, and push herself along in the pool with her hands on the bottom. She really loved it. After we helped her navigate the stairs and find the slides and sit and scoot to get going, she quickly figured out how to go down the slides all by herself. There were two little yellow slides and one big curly blue one and by this morning she was wanting to be just like the big kids and only go down the blue one.

It was an awesome vacation. We joined Adrian and Abby and Linus and we all played and played until we were worn out. I think we'll all be heading to bed early tonight.

Soon I'll fill you in on our latest Sweedish furniture acquisitions - with pictures of course! Our stuff will be delivered tomorrow and Jonathan is already anxious to get it all assembled and put to use!
