Welcome, Tooth O

Today we met Evelyn's first tooth.

The primary mandibular left central incisor*...

Tooth O.

Evelyn has not been especially thrilled with her first tooth's arrival, but she hasn't seemed to be in extreme pain or anything either.

Oh, she also got a sticker in her journal at school yesterday for pulling up to standing all by herself! She's getting pretty eager to walk these days, but I've found that you can't predict much about babies. They can seem "on the verge" of some new trick and take 4 months to get there, or they can wake up from a nap and start walking. They like to keep us adults guessing.

So there's your Evelyn update. She has her first eye appointment with the optometrist on Monday as well... let's all keep our fingers crossed that she has her mother's eyes and her father's teeth!

*I am a bit of a dental nerd. Mostly because one of my pastimes seems to be hanging out at the dentist's office and he and the hygenist use their fancy dental-speak and start going on about my mesial occlusal #2 or something like that... so I always go look it up to crack the code and learn exciting things like... "there's a big cavity on the front of the chewing surface on your second molar" and such. Now you know.

I was looking for the 'like' button on this entry... LOL! I have to agree 110% about not being able to predict what babies are going to do... AMEN!!! Keaton keeps me guessing every day!

I love this blog.
Thank you for making the miles apart not seem so extreme.
