For all my nay-saying about nursery themes, wouldn't you know that I've fallen in love with DOTS. It all started with Target's DwellStudio "Dot Fun" line:
I love that it's gender-neutral without being entirely brown and beige. Or yellow and green. It's okay for girls and boys to have some red and blue and yellow and green!
So this evening we were at Target to try to track down a few of these items because I noticed that almost all of the awesome DwellStudio stuff has been on clearance lately. Unfortunately we couldn't find anything in this line, so I came home and snapped up two window panels and the bedskirt. We bought a mattress at Babies R Us tonight, and a solid red sheet as well. Soon it will all come together! Oh, oh, and I saw these amazing itso fabric bins at target that have multi-colored dots on the outside and we grabbed all four they had there in the store. You can't see them online, but I'll take pictures soon. I need to update you on the belly too!
We've spent the day finalizing the office/nursery combo, and I am really happy with the results so far! My to-do list for the nursery is now down to procuring a small side table for next to the rocker, some sort of shelving for inside the closet (this will make sense when I post pics), and sanding/painting the rocking chair. There are a couple bonus things I'd like to get before Baby B comes, like one of those nursing footstools, but I think we're in pretty good shape for being 10 weeks out right now.
* Dot was also my "camp name" when I worked at Girl Scout Camp in Minnesota. It was short for Dorothy, since I'm from Kansas. So I've had a long-standing love for Dots that I will apparently be sharing with Baby B.

3. You'll always be Dot to me, so your dot theme makes me extra happy inside.
