After I finish packing, convince myself that it's okay that we didn't really clean the house, give the cat mountains of food, go to school all day, pick up Jonathan from work, drop off Olive with our wonderful family dog-sitting volunteers, and grab some road snacks...
We're off to Kansas today.
We plan to leave the Raleigh-Durham area by 6 PM tonight, which puts us in north-central Kansas for a wedding around 2 PM on Friday. Just enough time to grab a shower and maybe a quick nap before the rehearsal, dinner, and bonfire Friday night and then a full day of festivities on Saturday. We'll leave the reception Saturday night to head to Lawrence for a free bed with my family, and then after breakfast Sunday we'll drive the other 16 or so hours home. That should put us back in Raleigh by late late late Sunday night or Monday morning. Just in time for me to maybe grab a nap and then go to work/school all day.
That's the plan!
