I went back to Kansas over the weekend for Courtney and James's wedding! They're a perfect pair, I think. It did bring some tears to my eyes to see my friend so happy and in love and having what she hoped for... I guess it's just always good to see other people happy. And now they're in Cancun and I'm here shivering :)
The wedding also provided the perfect opportunity for a little "Fab Five" reunion. We were up to our usual shenanigans - confiscating a couple leftover bottles of bubbly after the toast, requesting somewhat smarmy but undeniably danceable songs (furry boots, anyone?) at the
reception, and driving all over the prairie wondering how it could be that things aren't open at 11:00 on a Friday night. Of course we were also helpful with decorating the getaway truck, giving hugs, keeping the punch coming, and reminding the bride to keep breathing.Also, another member of our esteemed group got engaged on Friday night! Congrats to Kim and Michael, and thanks for planning another October wedding! We have a trend here. But I'm already excited for next year's Autumn wedding.
