Jonathan and I rocked the vote last night. I took a moment when I got to my booth, just to think about the people who worked so hard to allow me to vote - to allow everyone to vote. And I smiled when I filled in the oval next to my vote for President. I feel honored to be able to have a say, no matter how strange our electoral college system can be and no matter how many people unfortunately believe that their votes don't matter.
Mine does.
Yours does too.
So please vote. Take your kids with you. And encourage others to vote, too.
Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.

While I missed my opportunity to vote early (where lines were only 2 hours long) I am going to be there when the polls open on the fourth.
Our votes do matter.
And, as always: I love you more and more.

PS: I'm so optimistic about voter turn-out this year when the early voting lines are this long! Yipee!
