Today during my
meditation evening run, I decided that I probably should spend 95% of my waking hours engaging in R&R. It's just that I've been choosing the more common R&R - rest and relaxation - and neglecting the more elusive "Running and Reading" variety. At any given moment, I should be either running or reading (though not both... I'm still not sure how people do that). Jonathan tells me that I'm generally quite cheerful (I believe he said "giddy") after a run, and I'd agree. Even if I'm waddling all over and holding my arms at odd angles because they feel much too heavy to just hang there, I'm usually slap-happy at the very least. So we all agree that it's a good thing.
This evening I whipped up a simple chicken pot pie (look, ma, no recipe! I just put stuff together that seemed like it should go in a chicken pot pie). We were both super excited for the premiere of one of our favorite shows,
Pushing Daisies. And pie was only appropriate because they bake pie constantly on the show. Alas, I had the dates wrong and the premiere is October 1st. Don't miss it! October 1st is also the date of my long-anticipated dentist appointment. It's kind of a big deal. I'm taking bets on my cavity count. ;) But it'll mark a turnaround in my dental health. And that's a good thing.

Glad to hear you did pot pies...those are on my list of things I will do. We did Ramen and nobody here is all about the Thai variety. Alas...they ate well and all bathed and are sleeping peacefully.
I look forward to Oct. first on many counts now...not the least of which is your cavaties... good luck on that.
Y'gotta call and tell me how it goes.
You are so missed and so amazing.
as always.
