Odds and ends.

  • The olympics start today! I'm so excited. I have been reading up on our men's and women's gymnastics teams (standard and trampoline - not so much rhythmic) and I can't wait to see them compete.
  • Geico told us that we need to establish residency in order for them to insure us. It's a tricky thing establishing residency when you're "homeless" but we thought that getting driver's licenses would do the trick... Except that you have to have proof of residency to get a driver's license. As in, a utility bill in our name with our address. I don't see that happening. So we're going to go to the DMV in person and see what can be done. Sometimes the man makes it difficult to be an upstanding citizen. (Also, you need a driver's license to register your car here... but having a registered car can be a way to establish residency. Spinning wheel goes round and round.)
  • Jonathan is expecting to hear from the potential employer tomorrow. I am not expecting to hear anything tomorrow, as they said that they're still doing phone interviews through Friday and I think they like to bring me to the edge of insanity with the waiting. It would be nice if they called, of course. It's only been a month since the initial contact with them. Not that I'm keeping track or anything. Tomrrow is also the deadline for the "career" search. Soon the job search will begin at such well-known corporations as Target and Best Buy. Gotta get those Benjamins somehow.
  • No running tomorrow! 10k on Saturday!
  • Played games with some of our favorite people this evening. It was good.
