MT: That which doesn't kill you...

... only leads to chafing. (Pictured is the outside of my right thigh. I learned my lesson. The ipod pocket on the shorts under my skirt really doesn't like to carry an ipod and a heavy phone - the weight is too much and the seam on the shorts rubs up and down with every step. Ouch.)

We ran 12 miles this morning and survived (me: barely).

Where is that and what happened? Terry B. Only 14 more to go!

That's the outside of my right thigh - my shorts (under the skirt) have a pocket on the side and I had my ipod and Jonathan's phone in there. It was too much weight, so the stuff in the pocket made the shorts bounce up and down a little bit - enough to rub all along the seam down the shorts. I also have a big raw patch and blister under my right arm! :(

Seriously sister?!?! Get yourself some BODY GLIDE. It's nothing dirty- even though it sounds it!SOO helps with the chafing. Had an awful case of the "chub rub" my first week of training. Lesson learned. :) (ps. it's usually with the biking supplies)

Renee, I know - I've heard good things about it. I should just dunk myself in it before I go out. I never had chafing issues when I trained before. Hmmm.

Yeah I've been concerned about the chub rub and surprised that I've avoided it so far. I must have callouses there ;)

ooooohhh baby! You NEED some Melaluca... I'm going to have to get you some... BUt, I second the need for body glide... or butt butter (your brother used to swear by that stuff when he was riding lots.)
I miss you and love you madly.
Oh yea, and call your mom...
