Job update.

Since I always post the doom and gloom of this whole job search thing, I thought I'd better keep you updated on the things that are happening.

• Jonathan has had 3 "pretend" interviews (I call them pretend because they were with recruiters, who then said they'd try to get him actual interviews with employers. Still nothing there.)
• He has also had 3 real interviews. One of them was over a month ago now, but we're still in the window where it could be a yes. This is the interview he feels went the best. One of the interviews was quite painful and we're pretty sure no calls will come. And the other scheduled him for a second interview the week after next.
• Which leads us to today's news - he has two real interviews scheduled in the next two weeks. Sadly, he'll have to miss a chunk of beach time for the second interview. But it's certainly worth it if things pan out.

He keeps applying... I'm sure there have been somewhere around 50 applications just this week, as well as a couple of resumes and cover letters sent out "cold" to IT people in the area. The good thing is that the longer we wait, the more comfortable I become with Jonathan giving them really high desired salary pitches. Well, really high to us at least. I'll tell you about my latest salary mishap next time.
