Does the blog seem less exciting to anyone else without pictures? Or is my inactivity over the past month (?!) coming through? Maybe I'm just bored. On the verge of something new, I'm so focused on looking forward that I'm not living in the present. Sometimes I think that our blog isn't as exciting since we don't have kids... But that's me not being present again, eh? Because who we are and what we are doing now is important. It's different than who we'll be and what we'll be doing with kids in the future, but just different. Not worse or lesser or anything - if you ask me. (And you don't even have to ask, because I just told you!)

This LAN party is a pretty sweet deal. I thought it was all nerds and their computers, lights off, headphones on, raiding and attacking and speaking in computer tongues. But it's actually much more interactive. There are always people playing Rock Band or just hanging out, mixed in with some of the guys (and girls) playing on their computers. There are 14 computers set up here, which is impressive in itself. I got to play some old school Mario and Tetris, we all went out for lunch, we're having some BBQ here tonight, and later we might go see The Hulk. Now you know!

No pictures until we unpack, but I'm still taking plenty.

Back to the party.

I love reading your blog. You don't have to have kids to have it be exciting. Actually, blogs with kids can be quite boring since it is just someone rattling on and on about their precious baby and all his (or her) accomplishments. You guys do exciting and fun stuff that we parents dream of having the freedom to do (like move halfway across the country).
