I'm listening to one of my favorite Pandora stations, my Shawn Colvin station, and remembering how much I adore this album (Steady On). You've probably heard of her, but maybe you haven't heard Steady On. I suggest giving it a listen.
Girls' weekend was a success. Someday our dreams will match up with our pay (catch the Feist reference, anyone?) and we'll have reunions in places more exotic than Salina, Kansas. But it didn't really matter too much where we were this time. It's fun to see each other grow up. It's refreshing to have this group where I can just be me, and where they can be themselves - good, bad, annoying, hilarious, kind. I'll miss these girls. Luckily, it looks like I'll see them at least annually for the next couple of years... there seems to be an October wedding trend among us.
To continue this discombobulated post, a list of things:
- I need to get a complete vaccination record before NC State will let me in. This is a giant pain. Grumble, grumble.
- I'm going to finish packing the whole house, minus some clothes and toiletries for us, this week!
- I'm going to spend the following week cleaning.
- We're leaving for NC in 18 days!
- I adore Old Navy's summer dress selection. I want them all.
- I've been watching movies and TV instantly through Netflix like it's going out of style. I am reminded of why I love being a student - periods of stress and intense drama followed by periods of absolute bum-ism. See? I don't even have to use real words anymore! It's awesome.
- I need to see the ocean. Stat.
- I'm finally getting excited about the move.
