Getting excited!

Good things have been happening, and I've been working to acknowledge these things so I can overcome my grumpy-ness of late. Here are a few of those good things:

  • Jonathan has an interview with a recruiting agency on Monday. We've decided that contract-to-hire, or even just contract, beats no job (jobs in NC seem to be 90% contract). So we're excited for something to be happening.
  • I'm dyeing my hair dark to get rid of the highlights that grow out and then have to be redone. This is why I rarely highlight my hair, even though I love it with fresh highlights.
  • Here's my schedule for next fall, so far:
    • Monday:
      • Orientation to Graduate Study in Psychology, 1:30-3:20
    • Tuesday:
      • Developmental Psychopathology, 8:30-11:15
      • Psychological Interventions, 4:10-6:55
    • Thursday:
      • Psychological Consultation, 1:30-4:15
  • ... which means I have Wednesdays and Fridays off! This could change when I figure out my TA schedule, but for now I'm excited about the prospect of at least one extra day off each week. This is why I don't mind being a student forever. ;)
  • Tonight we're going to a class barbecue with my cohort. I've made my favorite Asian Cole Slaw recipe. Good times will be had by all, despite the uncooperative weather.
