I managed to take almost no pictures yesterday. I did get this one of Jonathan with Jess and Liz, because we have to take pictures when people show up dressed alike.
But I did successfully defend. Jonathan even came to be a friendly face in the audience (and to skip out on work early), and my committee didn't really have anything "mean" to say. It was nice. I just have to make a few minor corrections and then it's ready for binding.
The banquet went well. I shared the student of the year award with my friend Vijay for the second year running. Our slide show was also a hit! I'll see if I can make it appear on the internet, but I make no promises.
Today I plan to sleep, watch TV, and maybe walk downtown to treat myself to some ice cream. Then sleep some more.

The job search for Jonathan is not going very well. He's at about 80 applications so far, and zero response! We'll just keep waiting and hoping that something comes through for now.
Are you guys planning to visit us before moving to SC or is NC?
