D-Day

D for defense, that is. With five hours to go, here's what I've been doing:

  • Filled up the car and drove through the car wash
  • Took some time browsing Hobby Lobby
  • Finished the "reserved" table signs for our class and guests at the banquet tonight
  • Filled these cute little paper bags with a Hershey kiss and a fortune inside for my class and our guests tonight(I've been saving my fortunes for about 7 years and I have an envelope stuffed with them... this is the first time I've found something to do with them)
  • Bought a couple bottles of extra-sweet sparkling wine for our pre-banquet party toasts
  • Read my entire thesis out loud, standing, in the kitchen; made some notes on my powerpoint guide as I went
  • Made some spaghetti to toss with the leftover peanut sauce Jonathan made last night (we enjoyed the Beef Satay with Peanut Sauce and Citrus Broccoli - another Everyday Food recipe)
I'll post pictures and give you a recap tomorrow.
