Up where the air is clear.

This afternoon, we went kite-flying. We went because of this:

And it was a successful activity... at first. Until the rubber band that's an important part of the kite snapped. But we're industrious go-getters, so we went and bought another rubber band. We will not be stopped! And we flew the kite, and it was pulling me around the field, and it was even making Jonathan work to stay in place.

But then, the kite took a nosedive. Jonathan went to check it out.

The news was not good.

What used to be the center support bar in our beloved kite shattered on impact. It's supposed to have a "safety release" and not do this, but the release malfunctioned and our kite is in need of some surgery before she'll fly again. *Sigh* It was good while it lasted.

Then we went and picked up some electric clippers so I can cut Jonathan's hair at home. No more excuses for his shaggy head!

** Update: Jonathan got a haircut from stylist-in-training, me!**

Much better!

Oh, and it's supposed to snow and be in the 30s all week. :(

Y'know, the last head of hair I saw you cut belonged to your brother when you both were in high school. If I remember correctly, it looked NOwhere as good as Jonathan's noggin does!
