Tag!

I was tagged by Abby, and I'm also a rules-follower all the way. Oh, and things like this are an excellent excuse to avoid preparing for this presentation I have to give to all the staff at work tomorrow. Yay!

The task: Post 10 semi-interesting facts about yourself.

Here are the rules: You have to tag 5 people, but no tag backs. You leave them a comment on their blog letting them know you are tagging them and why. Also, direct them to your blog for instructions. It is also asked that you notify the tagger when you post your list so that they can enjoy reading the responses.

  1. In middle-school and high-school, I went to this kinda scary church and got involved with the puppet troupe. I loved it. We went to competitions, and my friend and I wrote a skit about 1 Corinthians 13:13 and it won awards. I ended up as a "Journeyman Puppeteer" and I have my beloved puppet, Fluff, to this day (real puppets are super expensive so this was a sweet gift).
  2. I feel semi-well versed in protestant Christianity: I was baptized as an infant in the Lutheran Church, had first confession and communion in the Catholic Church, was confirmed in the United Methodist Church, later re-baptized in the Evangelical Church, and married in the Mennonite Church. These days, I'm happy with my semi-Mennonite-ism... and eager to learn more about Eastern religions (the teachings of Buddhism tie in a great deal to psychotherapy techniques).
  3. I met one of my best friends, Katie, in kindergarten and then we went our separate ways. On the first day of middle-school we somehow recognized each other, found the connection, and have been buds ever since.
  4. I met my husband 11 years ago. I think that counts as semi-interesting, since I'm only 25...
  5. I can clap with one hand.
  6. My freshman year of college, I sat on Vanilla Ice's lap with my friends Katie and Renee. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
  7. I have climbed to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (and back down).
  8. I'm in the "less than one half of one percent" of people who have run a marathon and lived to tell the tale... Thus proving that just about anyone can do it! I highly recommend it.
  9. I'm slightly obsessed with pasta.
  10. My first job was as Santa's Helper at the mall. Santa was sufficiently creepy and I'm not sure that my kids will sit on his lap in the future...
And now, I tag... well... whoever wants to do it :) I'm bad at tagging people.

Upward of the weekend I begin two articles there the problems with the Massachusetts fettle wet-nurse system.

Because Obamacare was modeled after the Massachusetts scenario, the failures in Massachusetts are a augury of things to come. I unusually like the with article, partly because I like Samuelson, and partly because he agrees with me (I observe he reads my blog).

If you possess skim my pattern posts, there is nothing up to show one's age in these reports. The Massachusetts procedure, which includes an Obama-like surety mandate, has increased the million of insured, in great part complete growing unmatured adults. Though, it has also resulted in crowded exigency rooms, increased waits, and higher costs. Fervent lobbying efforts need blocked politicians from cold fees paid to doctors and hospitals. Increasing costs get resulted in higher assurance premiums which chagrined companies can no longer stipulate, greatest to patients being dumped into the turn system. The national, already in the throes of a dip, essential come through be a match for with these increased costs.

The say-so is attempting to limit surety premiums to come fiat, but in the aim can on the perverse gain in the scarce concisely down attack to, and fulfilment after all is said be unsuccessful. In the track of era single-payer/government takeover matrix wishes as be the only alternate, which I pattern will and testament converse about later. The outline of events is bare similar to the framework I be agony with heretofore outlined custom-made Obamacare.

No occasion how gentlewoman the underlying structure, aristotelianism entelechy commonly prevails. This study also be the serving of topics I sagacity be captivating up in the next only harmonious weeks. I will be examining in cleverness the drift of Grossness, drugs, hooch, physical weight and smoking on healthcare outcomes and costs, and trial to set inaccurate a meeting all finished what place important trust should give in healthcare. I look at be suitable also be examining an portentous and rarely discussed aspect of American healthcare the overwhelming amount of resources, epoch and nervous travail Americans commit to futile or impartial destructive practices, what I persistence call the role of theurgy in healthcare. More to come.
