As you may recall, my New Year's Resolution was to "read more books." A vague goal, yes. But I've been trying. To recap, we're now entering the 12th week of 2008. I have started and finished the following books this year:
1. The Kite Runner
2. The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook
3. The Ivy Chronicles
4. The Overachievers
... And I'm lollygagging my way through:
1. The Pillars of the Earth
2. The Almost Moon
3. Reviving Ophelia: Saving the Selves of Adolescent Girls
4. Theories of Adolescence (which is a textbook... so it might not really count)

The books are difficult to compare, but I would say that my favorite so far is The Kite Runner. It was an excellent story and it helped me understand more about things and places and cultures that I sometimes don't try hard enough to understand.
P.S. I'm looking forward to spending some time outside by the pool/OCEAN to catch up on reading this summer!
